Due to the corona crisis, the 30th edition of the Voka Open Company Day this year will be entirely digital. For the past few weeks, people have been able to visit dozens of companies virtually. Today / Sunday there is the virtual day on which interested parties get an exclusive virtual tour of a number of large companies.
This year’s anniversary edition of Open Company Day is all about digital transformation. Physical visits cannot be made due to the corona crisis. “We have made a virtue of necessity and fully concentrated on virtual visits,” says the organization.
Anyone who wants to discover a company from “their room” can do so at www.openbedrijvendagvirtueel.be. For some time now, interested parties have been given a unique virtual insight into 33 companies. These include the PXL Hogeschool, the police in Ostend, Bozar Brussels and the Center Parcs Vossemeren.
Today / Sunday is the highlight. During the virtual day, Xavier Taveirne virtually guides people between 9.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. along several companies: Roularta Media Group, Belgian Navy, Stokerij Rubbens, Police Zone Rupel, Bellewaerde, Belgian center for guide dogs and skeyes. The Flemish Minister for Economy, Labor and Innovation Hilde Crevits (CD&V) will officially open the virtual day of the Voka Open Company Day.
