The number of (semi) public charging stations in the Netherlands is approaching almost sixty thousand, according to a survey published on Wednesday by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RvO). According to the service, there are 59,860 such charging stations across the country.
In addition, the Netherlands now has 1,463 fast charging points, reports the RvO in its monthly overview. Most of the charging stations are in the province of South Holland, followed by North Holland and North Brabant.
16.3 percent of registrations in August were for electric cars, and vehicles with plug-in hybrid drives for 4.8 percent. The Tesla Model 3 was most frequently registered 627 times in August. That was good for sixth place on the general sales list last month.
Measured up to and including August, the share of all-electric vehicles in sales is 10.2 percent, an increase of 2.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
