15-year-old Celine from Berghem in Brabant was found again. The girl has been missing since Friday, but was found unharmed late on Wednesday evening, the police in East Brabant said on Twitter. A suspect was arrested in connection with the missing person, police said.
An Amber Alert was issued to Celine’s missing persons the previous Wednesday. According to the police, she may have been in mortal danger and in “unsettling company”. She would have been picked up on Friday by an unknown man near her home in Berghem and then driven away.
Where and how Celine was found was not disclosed. No further information was released about the arrested suspect. Police said “more information” about the case will most likely follow on Thursday.
Celine’s family is on their way to pick her up, says her spokesman Jeroen Baardemans. “You are very happy, happy, relieved, everything you can imagine that Celine was found safe and in good health and that you can be reunited with her.”
Baardemans says he cannot say anything about what happened. Same goes for the suspect. “These are really matters that need to be developed from the police investigation. This is now also of later importance for the family. “
