The border between Saudi Arabia and Qatar could reopen soon after years of conflict

The cause of the dispute lies in the religious and political area: Qatar is accused of supporting terrorist groups in the region.

A solution to the dispute between the Saudis and Qatar has now been found on the eve of an important international conference in Saudi Arabia, reports the kup. Kuwait and the USA mediate in the conflict. A final deal should come on Tuesday.

The deal would mean that both Qatar Airways and Saudi Arabian Airlines can operate flights between Qatar and Saudi Arabia again. In addition, Qatar Airways no longer has to fly west on flights to bypass Saudi airspace.

According to an American insider, Egypt, Yemen and the Emirates will also lift their blockade of Qatar.
