SWISS concentrates the majority of its flights on its home base in Zurich, where most of the European and long-haul passenger and cargo flights take place. The base in Geneva is only minimally active in February, as there is mainly point-to-point traffic.
“As soon as the weather is ready, we will expand again in both Zurich and Geneva,” said CEO Dieter Vranckx.
The minimum timetable leaves space for Amsterdam, Brussels and Düsseldorf. There are no daily flights from Zurich to Schiphol, but there are still several times a week. Brussels Airport and Düsseldorf Airport are also included in the reduced flight schedule. Both own flights to Zurich and codeshare flights via the partners Eurowings and Brussels Airlines.
