Prime Minister Mark Rutte sees no reason for additional corona measures for the time being. However, it can be “useful” to take additional measures to help reduce the number of coronary infections more quickly, provided careful consideration is given to the economic damage this will cause.
The cabinet checks “step by step” whether more should be done against corona. If additional measures prove necessary, the cabinet will not rule them out, Rutte said after the cabinet meeting.
The coming days should show whether the measures taken earlier are effective enough. Two weeks ago the cabinet announced a partial lockdown. On Tuesday, Rutte and Corona Minister Hugo de Jonge will give another press conference on developments relating to the Corona virus.
