71 percent of Dutch people say that wearing a mouth mask in public indoor spaces is a good idea. This can be inferred from research by DVJ Insights on behalf of RTL Nieuws and the TV program Jinek. More than a thousand people were interviewed for the study.
Due to the corona virus, there is now an urgent need to put on a face mask in public spaces such as shops, libraries and catering establishments.
Four in ten people approached for the survey believe that masking requirements should also apply on the street. Six in ten of young people between the ages of 18 and 34 say they are outside because of a mouth cap. On Monday evening, Jinek had a special show about Korona and young people.
