The Randstad temporary work group was the target of hackers. They met the company’s branches in the USA, Poland, Italy and France.
The hack is still being investigated, but it is clear that the hacking collective Egregor was behind it and released a small part of the stolen data. This includes Excel files and PowerPoint presentations on financial issues and documents on tax issues.
The hack was recently discovered and outside experts and forensic investigators were brought in to determine its full extent. Randstad’s ongoing operations will not be hindered. As far as it is now, the break-in had no impact on the IT systems of the Group’s relationships.
Randstad says it does everything it can to protect customer and relationship data. This shows that hackers have been very active in the past few months and that several companies have been affected by similar attacks.
