35-year-old Nair has been Sales Director at American Express Global Business Travel in the Netherlands for the past three years. Before that, she held commercial positions at Capgemini, Infosys and Avery Dennison, where she worked to strengthen the market position and expand the customer base in the European market. She has an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management and lives in Amsterdam.
“Over the past four years, GBT’s position in the Benelux countries has been strengthened under the leadership of Freek Jansen by realizing sales growth and expanding business activities,” said Julien Kauffmann, Vice President and General Manager France, Benelux and Southern Europe. “At the same time, employee participation and customer satisfaction have increased significantly.”
As I said, Jansen’s successor comes from his own ranks. “With her international commercial experience in technology and digitization and her track record as a sales manager at GBT, Swapna Nair is the ideal person for the takeover. I am convinced that she will maintain this positive line in the current challenging circumstances. “In the coming months, both of them will work together on a good handover,” says Kaufmann.
“I am honored with this decision and I am grateful to Freek for his guidance, guidance and support. It is a privilege to lead the talented team of colleagues within an organization that continuously invests in and builds for the future. Our successes during the COVID-19 era have demonstrated our strength and resilience, and our commitment to serving our customers has grown. I look forward to the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead of us to further improve the business travel experience together with our colleagues, customers and suppliers, ”said Nair.
