
The French tire manufacturer Michelin will cut 2,300 of the 21,000 jobs in France without resorting to forced layoffs. Michelin announced this on Wednesday.
The intervention is part of a “plan for simplification and competitiveness”. The company would like to see an “improvement in competitiveness by up to 5 percent per year” for tertiary activities and industry.
