It looks like Boeing is about to rename its 737 Max. Without much ado, the name 737-8 is suddenly used on orders.
737-8 was mainly used internally within the company, but it looks like the name is now becoming more widely used as well. For example, Boeing proudly announced that Polish airline Enter Air SA has purchased four of its aircraft.
“Despite the current crisis, we have to look to the future. So we bought four new 737-8s. The 737 Max has undergone very strict controls and I am confident that it will be the best aircraft in the world in the years to come, ”said Grzegorz Polaniecki, CEO of Enter Air SA.
After the two fatal crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia, all 737 Max aircraft were on the ground. This is Boeing’s first order since December. The Polish company may have received a significant discount.
