BRUSSELS – Hungary and Poland are torpedoing the agreement on the new European multi-annual budget and the Corona Recovery Fund because they are angry about the proposed rules of the game to uphold the rule of law. It is still unclear exactly how things will go, but the delay in the budget for 2021-2027 and the coronavirus pot planned from January is almost certain.
