The family-owned Claes Retail Group (CRG), known for JBC and Mayerline, does not take over the clothing stores of the children’s brands Fred & Ginger and Baker Bridge, only the brand names. The children’s clothing will therefore be sold at JBC in the future, according to a press release on Friday evening. 64 jobs are lost.
On Thursday it was announced that the Claes Retail Group is taking over the brands from the bankrupt FNG. In addition to the news about the disappearance of the Fred & Ginger and Baker Bridge stores, the company plans to create a “worthy third pillar” of the CKS fashion brand on Friday alongside JBC and Mayerline.
A total of 53 employees can switch from CKS to CRG. Seven of the 23 CKS branches will remain and the brand will also be available, including fourteen shop-in-shops at INNO and a dedicated CKS webshop.
