Facebook starts today, Thursday, Facebook Dating in our country. The social medium wants to compete with the popular American dating app Tinder, among other things.
Facebook Dating was already available in twenty countries in North and South America and Southeast Asia. Now the social media company is launching the service in 32 European countries, including Belgium.
It is a service that is built into the Facebook app and that any user can subscribe to. No information about Facebook Dating ends up in the regular profile.
There are several functions within Facebook Dating. For example, users can share their stories (“Stories”) on Facebook and Instagram for potential partners to view. You can use “Secret Crush” to indicate which of your Facebook friends you have a crush on, and you can start video conversations immediately. Facebook can also suggest potential spouses based on common interests.
