But on Friday, doubts arose in the European Parliament about the legality of the measure the bank intends to take, because it would not only hinder the free movement of capital and payments, but would also violate the principle of non-discrimination.
In addition to ING, ABN Amro is also considering getting foreign account holders to pay more. Rabobank has no plans in this direction, according to the newspaper.
