Corona cuts tax breaks, postponement again | money

There are around 12,000 people who need help from the tax authorities or other organizations in completing their tax returns, reports the tax authority. Due to the corona measures, they could not be helped earlier on site.

The personal tax return from the tax authorities was thwarted by the Corona measures from March. The tax and customs administration was able to support more than 25,000 people by phone, many others still filed a tax return for 2019 with the help of their own environment.

4,000 people are still waiting for personal support from the tax authorities, around 8,000 people could not turn to organizations such as trade unions, social advisors or tax students with their explanations.

Every year around 50,000 people receive help from the tax authorities with their tax returns. These are people with insufficient tax or digital knowledge, a language barrier or a physical disability.

As soon as the corona measures allow, the tax and customs administration will help again. The individuals who qualify for a shift will be notified by the tax authorities.
