China is keeping the door closed for the time being for the Boeing 737 MAX. This aircraft received a worldwide flight ban after two fatal crashes early last year, but earlier this week the American Aviation Administration gave the green light to resume flights.
It will be some time before the planes are back in the air in the US as engineering adjustments are required first and pilots need training. China was the first country to ban the Boeing 737 MAX, and the door remains locked for now. The country has “no calendar” to review the situation, it said on Friday.
346 people were killed in the two plane crashes in Ethiopia and off the coast of Indonesia.
