Those who fly in Brussels class with Economy Airlines will soon be able to take less hand luggage with them. The airline reduces the maximum permissible weight with a small personal item to 8 kg. There is currently a limit of 12 kilograms for one piece of hand luggage and one personal item.
From August 18, Brussels Airlines will introduce new travel tariffs for short and medium-haul flights from September 1. The three economy tariffs will be reformed and the current business class will become two alternatives. The airline lowers the hand luggage limit in economy class on all flights, including long-haul flights.
With the reform, Brussels Airlines is actually taking over the “Network Airlines” tariffs from the parent company Lufthansa. These are the companies that represent the higher value segment within the group. In addition to Lufthansa itself, there are Austrian Airlines and Swiss. This should offer customers a “consistent travel experience” for the various Lufthansa brands.
A Brussels Airlines spokesman said nothing about the impact of fare changes on Wednesday’s prices. “It’s about better adjusted prices that better respond to the wishes of the customer,” she emphasizes. “Passengers are given more choice and flexibility in what they buy with their tickets.”
