British Airways pilots have agreed to a temporary 20 percent cut in salaries. In addition, 270 jobs will disappear at the British airline, according to the pilot union BALPA Announced Friday.
A large majority of the pilots entitled to vote agreed to the package of emergency measures.
In addition to temporarily reducing wages by 20 percent, another 8 percent will be cut over the next two years.
Like many airlines, British Airways is severely affected by the corona crisis. For example, KLM announced on Friday to cut a total of 4,500 to 5,000 jobs.
The British company had previously announced around 12,000 to fire, including about 1,250 pilots.
