Boko Haram attack: 110 dead in the village and rice field | Abroad

The massacre took place in the village of Koshobe near Maiduguri city. Farm workers and villagers were handcuffed and their throats cut. “At least 110 civilians were brutally killed and many others injured in this attack,” said Edward Kallon of the UN.

Governor Babaganan Umara Zulum attended the funeral of 43 farm workers’ bodies found the day before on Sunday. He told reporters that upon arrival he was told that the death toll was now 70 but feared it could rise.

In the fight between Boko Haram and ISWAP, a terrorist group affiliated with IS, farmers and other innocent people are regularly attacked. More than 36,000 people have been killed in attacks and bombings in recent years.
