Apple will pay a US $ 113 million fine for tampering with the batteries of old iPhones.

33 different US states filed lawsuits against Apple, accusing the company of deliberately slowing down batteries to force customers to buy new devices. There were millions of iPhones of the iPhone 6, 7 and SE models.

For a long time Apple defended itself by stating that the interventions were necessary to extend the life of aging batteries. But now the company has agreed to a deal in which it pays a $ 113 million fine but admits no guilt.
