For short routes, Air Astana uses both the standard Embraer 190 and the new Embraer 190-E2. The former has 88 economy seats and 9 business seats, while the new E2 can accommodate 108 passengers in a full economy class.
The Embraer 190-E2, which is gradually replacing the old E190, is now equipped with Premium Economy Class to offer travelers additional comfort. The seats are arranged 2-2 in contrast to the 1-2 layout that Business Class offers in the Embraer 190.
Travelers get better food service, more legroom and more luggage than Economy. Access to the lounge is included in the price. On the other hand, as already mentioned, the ticket price is lower than in business.
Air Astana has a total of five Embraer 190-E2s, which are used, among other things, for flights within Kazakhstan and to neighboring countries.
