Utrecht – Oliebol has been a traditional Dutch delicacy since the 19th century. New Year’s Eve is not complete without Oliebol and – outside the Corona times – there is no fair without an Oliebollen stand. Figures from the Commercial Register of the Chamber of Commerce show that the number of companies with one or more oliebollen stands has increased by more than 13% in the last five years, from 453 in 2015 to 512 in 2020.
