The Dutch shoe retail chain vanHaren will convert the 43 Brantano branches it took over in Flanders into vanHaren branches in the coming months. The shops are scheduled to reopen on February 1, 2021, reported vanHaren on Friday. The affected Brantano stores will close on October 1st.
The Dutch chain promises to offer jobs to as many Brantano employees as possible. There will be talks with the unions in the coming weeks. On Friday, vanHaren did not specify which Brantano branches would be taken over and how many people could start.
